Customer Story

“Wanting to go solar was always at the back of my mind,” Shazaad explained. Like many New Yorkers, Shazaad wanted to be an active part of the carbon-conscious community. He was looking for ways to lower his carbon footprint, and became interested in home solar.

Mpower Solar was not the first company to draw up a contract with Shazaad. He’d been waiting eight months without any progress after signing with a competitor. But when he saw an Mpower Solar agent chatting with his neighbor, Shazaad decided to discuss his options. He wanted to find a new solar provider that would make good on their promises, not just shuffle paperwork around. He made an appointment with Mpower Solar to go over his custom proposal.

“They explained everything to me. They brought their computer and ran the figures. The figures from Mpower Solar looked more realistic, because they went into more detail,” Shazaad said later, reflecting on the ways Mpower Solar stood above the competition. “It was a great decision I made.” Shazaad looked forward to the tax incentives and lower monthly costs from solar.

Prior to the installation, Mpower Solar cooperated with the utility company in order to provide necessary upgrades and secure permits for the work required. The panels were installed on the back of Shazaad’s home, allowing him and his family to achieve their desired, streamlined look. Since switching to solar, Shazaad has been thankful to see his costs go down while making a positive impact on the environment.
